Micro-channeling has become the latest new skincare craze. It is a healthy and non-invasive technique that stamps multiple small needles across the skin for the purpose of skin rejuvenation. Along with maintaining a healthy and balanced system from within, micro-channeling can provide you with healthy looking skin long term. Here are a few facts on why micro-channeling is a great alternative to develop and maintain the healthy skin you deserve.

  1. It is commonly called collagen induction therapy. It triggers a response in the skin, stimulating fibroblasts to increase collagen production.
  2. It is most commonly used for fine lines, wrinkles, acne, and surgical scars. It is also used for non-inflamed rosacea, hyper-pigmentation, stretch marks, and alopecia. It is safe for use on all Fitzpatrick types.
  3. There is no down-time with micro-channeling. The skin typically has some mild erythema for up to three days but no significant redness. Clients can feel dry following the procedure, so extra moisture is recommended, but makeup can be worn as early as the next day.
  4. Results are not immediate. Although many clients seem to have a more rejuvenated appearance a few days following micro-channeling, it takes time to produce collagen. Collagen building typically takes two to six months, but full results can take up to a year.

Last, but not least, professional skin treatments are not merely to correct unhealthy skin. Skin & Beyond serves you because you deserve to be pampered and to have beautiful healthy glowing skin. You deserve beauty. We all do!

Love thy skin!
