A thread lift without a single needle
The Chitossil Thread Lift is a skin-firming treatment built on bioabsorbable threads made from Chitossil — a highly purified form of chitosan, a natural polymer derived from the shells of crustaceans. Unlike every classic thread procedure, nothing is inserted with a needle: the fibers are laid onto the surface of the skin, and that is where the needle-free part begins.
Once the Chitossil threads sit on the zones we want to lift, an activating ampoule — formulated with marine collagen and silk proteins — is applied over them. The threads dissolve and are absorbed transdermally, depositing their material into the deeper layers of the skin without ever breaking the skin barrier. The threads work as a temporary scaffold, immediately supporting the skin where it has started to soften.
Then the longer game starts. As the Chitossil material dissolves, it signals the skin to rebuild its own structure — boosting natural production of Type I and Type III collagen, the fibers that keep skin firm and elastic. So the visit ends with two effects: an instant tightened look from the scaffold, and a gradual, natural-looking firmness that keeps building over the following weeks.

Who it’s for — and who should pick something else
Book this if you want a lifting-type result without injections — early softening along the jawline, cheeks or smile lines, skin that looks tired rather than saggy, or support between stronger treatments. It is a natural fit if needles, bruising or recovery time are exactly what kept you away from thread procedures: there are none here, and you walk out ready for the rest of your day.
Choose a different treatment if your main goal is deep cleansing and extractions — a classic facial serves you better. If you are after long-term volume and density, our Mesotherapy with PLLA is the closer cousin. And if sagging is already significant, say so at the consultation — needle-based clinical procedures live outside this spa, and we will tell you honestly if that is the better route.
How the treatment goes
- Consultation and skin check. We look at the zones you want lifted, check your skin’s condition, and screen for anything that matters — including allergies, since the material comes from crustacean shells.
- Thread placement. Hair-fine Chitossil fibers are laid precisely onto the areas that need lift and contour — the jowl line, nasolabial folds, cheeks, forehead.
- Activation. The activating ampoule goes on over the threads. They dissolve and absorb into the skin on their own — no needles, no pain, no breaking the skin barrier.
- Finishing care. We finish with hydration suited to your skin, you check the result in the mirror, and you head straight back to your day.
What to expect on your visit
Assessment
The visit starts with a short conversation: what you want lifted, which zones bother you, and a quick screen — skin condition, allergies, anything recent on the skin. If the Chitossil lift is not the right tool for your goal, we say so and point you to the treatment that is.
Treatment
Comfortable and quiet. The thread placement feels like nothing more than carefully worked product on the skin; the activating ampoule brings a cool, hydrated sensation while the fibers dissolve underneath. No numbing, no needles, no pinch — you simply lie back while the scaffold goes to work.
Aftercare
No downtime — the skin barrier stays intact, so makeup and your usual day are fine right after. Wear SPF, keep the skin hydrated, and pause strong actives or aggressive treatments for 24–48 hours. The tightened look is there from day one; the deeper firmness keeps building for weeks as new collagen lands.
FAQ
- What is a Chitossil thread lift?
- It is a needle-free lifting treatment built on bioabsorbable threads made from Chitossil — purified chitosan from crustacean shells. The threads are laid onto the skin, dissolved with an activating collagen-and-silk ampoule, and absorbed into the skin, where they support it like a scaffold and trigger fresh collagen production.
- How is it different from a PDO thread lift?
- Classic PDO threads are inserted under the skin with needles — bruising, swelling and days of social downtime are common. The Chitossil lift never breaks the skin barrier: the fibers are applied topically and dissolve transdermally. Instead of a mechanical pull you get a biochemical signal — your skin builds its own Type I and Type III collagen.
- How much does it cost?
- $115 per session at Skin and Beyond Spa. Book online through our booking page or see the full price list.
- Is there downtime?
- No. The skin barrier stays intact throughout, so there is no bleeding, bruising or recovery period — clients go straight back to work, errands or events after the session.
- When will I see results?
- Two timelines at once. The dissolving threads act as an immediate temporary scaffold, so skin looks tighter and more supported right away. The lasting part builds gradually — over the following weeks, as the treatment stimulates your skin’s own Type I and III collagen production.
- What about allergies or sensitive skin?
- The material is derived from crustacean shells, so tell us about any seafood or shellfish allergies before booking — we screen for this at the start. The treatment itself is needle-free and gentle, which makes it a common choice for clients who avoid injectable procedures.
- Where are you located?
